Lesson currently exhibited in the Carrcroft Cafe
During our month long exploration of shapes in art, our K-3 students learned how to make a circular frosty using chalk!
Students experimented with this new and unique medium and had a blast learning about blending. During this lesson students also began learning about the use of sizes within this project such as small, medium, and large. Check out some of our cute snow people!
Above is an image of a student creating their frosty using chalk blending techniques. First the student draws three sized circles (small, medium, and large), next the student lightly fills in the circles with chalk, after that the student takes a small piece of paper towel to blend the chalk in a circular motion. This creates a light and showy effect.
