Art to Remember
Our school is participating in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child's art.
There are over 60 products and many are less than $15. These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school.
The exciting part is that you can select any piece of artwork from home! You can use art from e-learning, choose a piece from earlier in the year, create something new, or use a favorite candid photo!
Just click on the link below, search your child’s name, and shop.
You can upload additional pieces and save them in a digital family gallery and shop from them too. Have fun creating and shopping!

Upcoming Community Exhibit
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Lancashire art club members are having a very special art exhibit next Friday evening at District Office. We would love for you to join us and celebrate their work. Over the past few months students have been working hard creating beautiful portraits of our fellow club members that show extreme highlights and shadows using spot lights and the black and white special effect on our Nikon Cool Pix digital cameras. Art club members from Talley Middle School then created original works of art inspired by our photographs. At our exhibit students from both schools will get a chance to meet and exchange pen pal letters! Our goal is to build relationships and connections across grade levels that support students as the transition to Middle School and beyond!
The following Lancashire students have artwork on display

Upcycling in the art room
We need your trash!
Dear Parents,
The art room is going green this year and we need your help! During the school year we will feature upcycled projects using common reusable objects. If you have any of the items listed below in your home recycling bin, please have your student drop them off in the new upcycling drop of center in the main lobby.
What we need: plastic bottle caps, used cd’s and dvd’s, magazines, RECORDS, small pieces of cardboard, and small gift boxes.
A little history of Upcycling in art: The tradition of reusing found objects in mainstream art came of age sporadically through the 20th century, although it has long been a means of production in folk art. Amish Quilts, for example, came about through reapplication of salvaged fabric. Famous artists such as Simon Rodia, Marcel Duchamp, and Pablo Picasso made Upcycling popular.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Ms. Reynolds
