Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Lancashire art club members are having a very special art exhibit next Friday evening at District Office. We would love for you to join us and celebrate their work. Over the past few months students have been working hard creating beautiful portraits of our fellow club members that show extreme highlights and shadows using spot lights and the black and white special effect on our Nikon Cool Pix digital cameras. Art club members from Talley Middle School then created original works of art inspired by our photographs. At our exhibit students from both schools will get a chance to meet and exchange pen pal letters! Our goal is to build relationships and connections across grade levels that support students as the transition to Middle School and beyond!
The following students have artwork on display
3rd grade: Le’Anna Wilson, Eric Kaing, Camren Jones, Daniel Elzey, Chase Bamhart, Anthony John Dell’Aquila Jr, Jaiden Leary, Elijah Evans, Anissa Harris, Ethan Kuba Starr, Cameron Seidel, Reygan Marcell, and Divya Sahithi Bhavanam 4th Grade:Reagan Itri, Zachary McNutt, Laki Frazier, Giulietta Giovenello- Haber, and Josselyn Ventura-Benitez 5th Grade: Anthony Spennato, Adam Thomas, and Nick Canavatin Jr |

Monochromatic "Close Up" Candy Project
A close-up or closeup is still photography is a type of shot that tightly frames a person or object. Close-ups are one of the standard shots used regularly with medium and long shots. Photographers must practice keeping their cameras very still when taking close up photographs and assure that their lens is in focus so the edges of their objects are crisp.

Collaborative Murals
Art club sessions one, two, and three have all created a group project. We have created a larger than life portrait of Mona Lisa, Frida Kahlo, and Vincent Van Gogh. Using a grid students worked as a team to make their image look as close to the original as possible. |
